My Mother's Story

Born Anna Mae Reichel on 1 March 1942, the daughter of Floyd G. Reichel Sr. and Anna Davis. She was the eldest of 5 children. Her siblings Floyd, Helen, Lewis and Ralph.

She married my father Albert A. Leibenguth Jr. on 21 October 1961 and July of the following year I was born. August 1963 my sister Susan was born but February 1965 would sadly pass away for reasons unknown. In 1970 she gave birth to my brother Al and in 1974 gave birth to my brother Chris.

In the late 1970's and early 1980's she would return to school for her GED and go on to nursing school. We are all so proud of what she accomplished. This is when her diabetes was diagnosed and began her journey to where we are now. She worked in the Lehigh Vally Hospital system for 28 years.

In 1982 she was blessed with her first grandchild Gary. In 1989 saw the marriage of her daughter Michele. In 2005 her son Chris was married. In 2006 her son Al was married. Al would give her 3 grandchildren, Mayleen, Romina and Al IV. Chris would also give her 3 grandchilden, Sierra, Tyler and Juliana. For a while she thought she wouldn't have any and now she leaves quite the legacy. She also has a great grandhild on the way due July 2015.

In 2007 she lost her youngest brother Ralph and then in 2009 lost her brother Lewis.

FUNERAL CARD

Console yourself, dear husband; you were my happiness on earth. I will love you in heaven as I loved you on earth. I accepted the will of God, I saw death coming with calm and courage that gave me faith. Why cry my departure since death is an end to my suffering. My dear children do not forget me, be good Christians. You have love, prove to me that you still love me, by your prayers and frequent communions. O my God bless my family and be the protector of my children. Good Lord, have mercy on those whom I leave here on earth, protect them and save them. Almighty God grant me eternal rest.
