May Your Memory Be Eternal
My Dad's Story

Born Albert Arlington Leibenguth on 2 October 1939, the son of Albert Arlington Leibenguth Sr. and Althea Bernice Schaffer. His siblings Kenneth Schaffer, Sharon Leibenguth (Royer), Terry Leibenguth who passed in 1998, Richard Demko and Lori Demko.

He married my mother Anna Mae Reichel on 21 October 1961 and July of the following year I was born. August 1963 my sister Susan was born but February 1965 would sadly pass away for reasons unknown. In 1970 he became a father to my brother Al and in 1974 he became a father to my sibling Chris.

In the early 1960's he would take a job at Hess Gas Station on MacArthur Road and in a short period of time would become manager. After 19 years and many recommendations he was let go just shy of his 20th year and a pension. It didn't take my dad long before he was hired by 15th Street Shell where he spent the rest of his working career. He even managed to get me to work there.

In 1982 had his first grandchild. In 1989 saw the marriage of his daughter Michele; in 2005 the marriage of his son Chris and in 2006 the marriage of his son Al. Over the next decade he would have several more grandchildren, Mayleen, Romina, Albert IV, Maxwell, Pierce, Sierra, Tyler, and Juliana Leibenguth. For a while he thought he wouldn't have any and now he leaves quite the legacy. In 2015 he would have his first great granddaughter, Hailey Mae and soon to be great grandson in 2020.

I will always and forever miss my dad until we meet again in Heaven.

Serenity Prayer

God grant me the Serenity
to accept the things
I cannot change...

Courage to change the things that I can.
and the Wisdom to know the difference.

"To live in the hearts and minds
of those we leave behind
is never to have died"

Amen
